Our commitment
Simply Data International Ltd is committed to making this website accessible to as many people as possible, including those using assistive technology.
We sell to organisations with statutory accessibility obligations of their own, including NHS trusts, government departments and education providers. We hold our own website to the standard we would expect of any supplier serving those organisations.
Standard we work to
This website has been built to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 at level AA. We consider it partially conformant, meaning it meets the standard other than the items recorded under known limitations below.
What we have done
Semantic HTML with a correct heading structure and landmark regions throughout.
Full keyboard navigation, with a visible focus indicator on every interactive element.
Text and interface contrast meeting or exceeding the 4.5 to 1 ratio required at level AA.
Text that can be resized to 200 percent without loss of content or functionality.
Descriptive alternative text on all meaningful images, and decorative graphics marked so assistive technology ignores them.
Motion and animation that respects the reduced motion preference set in your operating system.
Form fields with persistent visible labels rather than placeholder text alone, and errors described in text rather than by colour alone.
Known limitations
We are aware of the following and are working to resolve them.
Some technical content, including detection terminology and incident reporting language, requires a level of subject knowledge that cannot be simplified without losing accuracy.
Documents published for download are not yet all tested against the same standard as the website, and we will provide any document in an accessible format on request.
Where content is embedded from a third party, we do not control its markup and cannot guarantee it meets level AA.
Testing
This website has been assessed against WCAG 2.2 level AA using a combination of automated tooling and manual testing. Manual testing covers keyboard-only navigation through every page and interactive component, screen reader review of the heading structure, landmarks, links and form labels, contrast measurement of text and interface elements against their backgrounds, layout at 200 percent text resize, and behaviour with the reduced motion preference enabled in the operating system.
The site is re-tested when pages or components change rather than on a fixed annual cycle, because the standard applies to what is live rather than to what was live at the last review.
This assessment is carried out by us and has not been independently audited.
Feedback
If you encounter any difficulty using this website, or need information in an alternative format, contact yaseen.valji@simplydata.uk. We aim to respond within five working days.
We treat accessibility feedback as a defect report rather than a suggestion, and we will tell you what we intend to do about it.
Enforcement
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service, which provides advice on accessibility and discrimination in the United Kingdom.
